To empower women in coding, it is crucial to create safe and supportive spaces where they can thrive. 42 Abu Dhabi has had a major role in supporting Abu Dhabi’s strategic vision to create a diverse and inclusive education infrastructure that enables a future-ready workforce, by empowering women from all walks of life to learn how to code. 42 Abu Dhabi is proud to have 111 female students and rising stars, which represent 32% of the total number of students.

Our female coders have had incredible success stories at 42 Abu Dhabi, where they joined the school with no coding background and are now shaping the coding field through their wealth of knowledge. Here’s a glimpse about Hamda Al Wahedi and Mona Alhadrami, two female coders at 42 Abu Dhabi who have elevated their digital skills and excelled in the coding field:

Hamda Al Wahedi, a rising coding star at 42 Abu Dhabi, completed her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Geosciences and worked as a Petrophysicist in the Oil & Gas industry. She later decided to shift her career path, and that is when she joined 42 Abu Dhabi to master the art of coding. With a passion for life-long learning, Hamda has completed her Masters in Data Analytics while studying at 42 Abu Dhabi, and her mission is to become a leader in Data Analysis and Machine Learning to inspire women around her to do the same. Mona Alhadrami is also one of 42 Abu Dhabi’s women superheroes, as she is a chemical engineer who joined 42 Abu Dhabi with no background in coding. Mona has thrived in her learning journey at 42 Abu Dhabi, by elevating her coding skills while also launching her own app at the same time.
